In 2001 I built a hammer using the Kinyon plans and the modifications that I found on the AFC by Mark Linn for the plumbing.

I am having problems with getting good control on the hardness of the hit when I get to 1/4" of completing the down-stroke and wonder if anyone has these plans anywhere as I can't find them anywhere online nor can I find what I printed off.

Thanks

I have an a hammer I built with a buddy about 12 yrs ago and when Mine acts up like that I take all the controls and take them apart and clean them. You may find out that the "O" rings are going bad and need to be replaced. After I clean mine it runs great. Also check for hidden air leeks as this will do the same thing. Hope this helps.

I have no experience with your hammer, but based on what Dan has said above.

If you find you have problems with O rings breaking down and leaking,
look for Viton o rings, they are more heat and oil resistant than the most common rubber
