OK who is bgoode ?
how can I find his knives?
I don't belong to any forums, what is a forum anyway

I'm a hick from the sticks and I saw one of these bgoodie knifes ;) that a buddy had gifted to him..
he likes the knife but doesn't know where it came from..
, I have no way to find out who this maker is. I like it but I can't find out anything on him?
my local phone book has 12 dozen Goode's in it, I can't call them all.
maybe he's from an other State? it has an NC on it is that the type of steel in it?
maybe someday he will be famous and someone I know will know him?
now I have to go to the store and buy a Buck knife :( :grumpy:

:) :)

this weekend at the mass show I had a guy (I didn't know) come up to me and knew me only from my picture he saw somewhere. take your advertising where you can get it I'd say, if you want to sell Knives,
there are a lot more knife makers then sneaker makers out here. ;)

I need to get a web site once I get enough knives made to advertise.

I could put the site info in the tang area.

Dan, can you post an image of your marked blades?

ahh....thats still fairly simple and a free ad :p

Looking good. could he just put the city, state under his name and feather and maybe a phone number under that? but i do understand where he is coming from, a lot of people do just mark thier blades with just a symbol or just thier names. i dont think i have seen one in person that actually has a lot of contact info on it.

phone numers change to easy, just move across town and there goes
all the numbers :grumpy: the internet is here to stay and a domain
will stay with you as long as you keep it. like $70.00 for 5 years
and I think for less now if you shop around :)

if the name was feathered one, I sure would remember that
but as for a non related name,,, not with my memory :(
and the name and the feather has to be related to the customer at least once to be related

as the web net customers get more savvy I really think I could drop the .com
,,because I as a customer I would look first on the net for grayknives and look at .com first to see if there was a site if not there then I'd look for it under .net
but as the new .com .net . org .ne . be . ca. well you get the idea,,
.com or .net would be ok to look up because it's the normal one to look up. then I'd go to the search engines.
but if you have it on the knife ,, no fuss no muss :) and as I always say
if one out of 100 customers want it with out the logo ,,OK ;)

I just did a google search for my last name and the word knife and the first page had 3 links to My knives on bladegallery and posts here.

if you polish the black out of a name etch is there something you can put back in to make it black again? :footinmou

Use a black Sharpie. Let it dry, and scrape off any excess with a piece of sharpened micarta, or such, so you don't scratch the blade.
