If I click on "Forum Tools", when I click on "Mark this forum read", nothing happens. It used to work, and I used this feature extensively. It's only in the past day or so that it doesn't work anymore.

I just marked this forum read.
It worked.

Is it forum wide that it doesn't work for you...or is it only certain forums?

I don't know what's going on.... Threads I read still show as unread -- some of them, not all. When I use the forum tools to mark this forum read that's working for me, but I shouldn't have to do that, not after I've opened every thread in the forum. This just started a couple of days ago.

Same here, I actually came here to make a post, and looks like someone beat me to it.

Haven't tried Forum Tools option though.

Edit: Forum Tools "Mark This Forum Read" is working for me.

We just did a software upgrade this week so it might be related to that.

That said, version 3.7 of vB is due out shortly, so hopefully it will be fixed there

On further inspection, it happens for all forums... But only on this computer. On my other computer it works fine.

Spark can ya change it in VBulletin? A few updates ago it changed the setting for me as well. ( I changed it to the one that is server intensive) but it was the fix

I looked at that - If you are referring to the vb options -> General -> Forum read marking method, we've always left it as the "inactivity" based setting, not the others.

I'm not sure if changing it to the most intensive option would be a good choice right now since we're already seeing server slowdowns for other areas.

I suppose # of general complaints vs. speed and efficiency, yessir Boss. I agree

True, we're getting some server too busy errors and more of that could be a worse nuisance than this. We're gonna need a server upgrade sooner or later ... maybe we should hold a bake sale, or a cake knife sale or something....
