Mark Twain Barlow years of production?

I recall these were in the local hardware store when I was a kid getting interested in knives, around 1973 or 74. Anyone have an idea when were they introduced, and when were they discontinued? Thanks!

I thought this was the collector's site. I took a look as you suggested at BL's collector sight and found the info, c. 1972-79, thanks for sending me in the right direction!
