Blade Marking Identification Assistance

I have owned numerous Benchmade knives over the years, old and new in different models and coatings all with varying steel identification marks on the blade.
(ie. S30V, S90V, M390, D2, etc.)

However, I have never owned or handled a Benchmade knife with the mark seen below the steel identification mark as seen in the attached photo, and wondered if anyone could put this wondering to rest.

I suspect it’s indicative of a “replacement blade” installed by Benchmade.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

I own several black coated knives including a 943 like in the above photo and none have that marking.

I believe that they used that marking on the old BK2 coating. The ones now don't use that same coating and don't have that logo. It could be that your others that are coated were made after they stopped using that coating (I believe they moved to cerakote? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) so they don't have the logo anymore.

We marked the "BK" logo when we switched from a teflon coating to a cerakote on the blades. After a while we just removed the logo.
