Well, I remember once a Chris Reeve official dealer telling me that there were less than 3000 camo knives produced all models included. Although that information would need confirmation from Chris Reeve himself.
The current market prices I observed for that discontinued model in its should be around 420 us$ (+ or - 10%), I just got one from Ebay at 495 us$, a bit too expensive but it is for resale to a client in Asia so I was willing to pay extra for immediate acquisition. I would estimate that a rare version, in mint condition with its original box and paperwork, would be more around 600 to 650 us$ in the States and can go up to the equivalent of 750 to 800 us$ us$ in Europe. Note that although the camo finish is indeed rare, the model itself is not and was produced continuously for a period of 19 years, that is a lot of MkVI outhere...
As nyefmaker rightly pointed out, the value is whatever someone is willing to pay for it... I saw a Belgian collector buy without complaining a plain "Project I" without the original box for 700€ (975 us$) at the Paris Knife Show last month, American buyers have more competitive choices so the prices are always lower. So, if you can handle the languages, my advice is to also list your knife on some of the european sites ("messer forum" in Germany, "naturabuy" for France and Belgium, "Coltelleria Collini / mercatino" for Italy...) and of course the Ebay worldwide sub-sites: you can probably get at least 20 to 25% more that way.
Out of curriosity, whenever you finally sell the knife, please let me know how much you sold it for; it will help refining my next estimate.
Cheers
