This is a dealer, not the Exchange on here. They rarely ever lower prices.the sale price doesn’t mean anything, the purchase price is the real value
It makes sense for a seller to start at the highest price, but at the end the real price is not such high
IMO depending of the model and rarity you can get an XM-18 3.5 in good condition in the 400-500$ range
I have recently sold a skinny version under $400
At the end it will really depend on the model
Nope, but it does have a Ti scale. I agree still way over.Is that on fleabay? The only way you would get close to that is a titanium scale but even then it should not be that much.
Totally agree. Asking price, on most anything nowadays, is immaterial. The point the price matters is when money changes hands.the sale price doesn’t mean anything, the purchase price is the real value

Fair enough. They do turn over rapidly and I wouldn't expect them not to raise the price but at the point you double the new price of a used product is a bit much. IMO.If it's the store I suspect it is, their consignment prices tend to be inflated for sure. I get the impression their target market isn't "price-savvy BF buyers," but man they do brisk business and they get tons of stock -- so I guess it's working for them.
I'm expecting that, sucks for keeping prices out of the unobtainable category. The best part about the scalper prices - someone will actually buy it. Crazy what people will pay for certain knives
Same reason a “fool” would buy a Rolex or a marked-up $400k Lambo. I’m sure they know a timex and a Corvette will do the same thing. People buy CRKs, Hinderers, etc because this is a hobby, yes a PM2 will cut better than most, and we know that.So while I understand your logic I dont understand how it applies here.
If you're stating it as a 'value is worth what you're willing to pay' then I'd retort with a fool and his money are easily parted.
Or a Timex at Rolex priceSame reason a “fool” would buy a Rolex or a marked-up $400k Lambo. I’m sure they know a timex and a Corvette will do the same thing. People buy CRKs, Hinderers, etc because this is a hobby, yes a PM2 will cut better than most, and we know that.
I have, but that was an era of very short supply and high demand. Eventually times changed and those that paid the inflated prices took a significant hit.I never paid more than $400-500 for any XM18 or XM24 that I've ever owned, including the XM18-3.5 that I still own.
Right. Kind of like how a Mustang will go around a racetrack faster than a Rolls Royce, yet it’s cheaper. Weird, I know.Or a Timex at Rolex price
