markings on blade

I already asked on the spyderco forum but no luck (granted, i am a little impatient )
I have my new Salt, black PE manufactured August 2005 (HE, in case I mis-calculated)
I was surprised because it doesn't have "salt1" etched on the blade, nor a spyderco logo. Just "spiderco H1" on one side and "Seki city Japan" on the other.
Any ideas as to when and why markings where stopped/started?

Salt 1 is on the yellow handle model only, the spyder next to the hole is a recent change. You have a perfectly normal black salt 1

2000 = A; 2001 = B; 2002 = C; 2003 = D; 2004 = E. So HE look for me as August 2004 - but maybe I'm wrong.
