Markings on my first HI blade

First off, this thing is AWSOME! Can't wait to get out and use it some. I tried searching and have an idea, but I'm not really sure who made my chiruwa and what the markings mean. Any help would be appreciated!

Looks like a Sher and Kumar joint effert...odd.

Congrats on your first kukri, I am sure more will follow.


(you might want to wipe the finger prints off, it will cause rust )

That *is* an interesting double mark...either a joint effort *or* there is someone new working in the shop I would think.

Perhaps Yangdu could tell us.

souds weird, but that looks like a sher peice. its very broad with clean lines, making it look precise but big at the same time.

Have never seen or heard of a Sher overstrike on Kumar's star mark.... it does look like Sher's work though.

Interesting. Possibly a rework/rehandling or change of mind?

There was one of these awhile back. Bura over Sher. Read the speculation there.
