Markings On My Scorpius?

Anyone know what these numbers mean? One of my Scorpius has "043V" on the blade while the other is plain, without markings.

The numbers refer to Collector's Club numbers and the "v" stands for variations.

Collector Clubs members have to buy one of each new model, but variant models are an optional purchase, that's why you see so many "v" numbers for sale.
I'd guess both your Scorpious's are serrated models ? The plain edged models are normally the initial must buy models, whilst the serrated models are often considered optional variations.

Thanks.

Actually, mine is a plain edge model. By 'variation' do you mean that this knife differs in some way from production Scorpius' because it looks exactly the same to me...?

I thought that the collectors models were generally the serrated model if available. Could someone in the collectors club clear this up for us?

The "V" marked knives don't vary in any other way except for the edge type. The numbered models are always some of the first off the line. They are numbered only for the collectors club. As Yog stated, members of the collectors club are required to buy the normal numbered models. The variants, which are variants only in edge type, are optional. I've had quite a few of them pass through my hands. There is really no additional value to them, so I'd just use them as normal production knife.
