Here are the marks but they are going to be ever changing. Prakash is gone and there are actually three new mystery kamis I have not met. But, we will update as required.

Great. Thanks you for posting this, uncle. My Khukuris got non of these, but I'm happy enough as they're still the finest Khukuris in the world.
 
Tanat, as you know the kamis are not very diligent about marking blades. They still consider it a waste of time and effort.

From the other side of Grand Culture Canyon, where I hold a good bladesmith in high enough esteem that I like to see a signature or mark identifying his (or her) handiwork, here's a thought that might be worth translating into Nepali ...

A few years ago I was at a knifemaking seminar at the shop of R.W. Loveless, the guru of the stock-removal hollow-ground drop-point hunter. During the conversation, he said, "A knife is the most useful thing in the world. Therefore knifemaking is the most honorable of professions."

Nicely said, James, and I certainly agree but one must remember that East is East and it is ever so difficult to bridge the culture gap.
