Marks on Hinderer

Hi All,
I just got a new Hinderer XM-18 and like it, but have just noticed a couple of small marks in the texture groove near the bottoms of the knife. It appears almost as if they are small circles of wear in the anodizing. I just wanted to see if this was normal or if anyone knew what it was from.

Can't say I really understand what you mean, but don't see any marks on my week old XM-18 either.

Those are just polishing marks from where the cuts were made on each side. Nothing to cause concern.

That's a travesty, I'll gladly take it off your hands for 50% of what you paid.

My guess is the anno takes slightly differently on different surface finishes. The surface finish is slightly different in those two areas due to the milling cutter dwell or pause in those corners. I'm only guessing so take it with a grain of salt. You could always ask Hinderer. Seems normal to me.

PS- I'd of probably never noticed the areas in question.
