Anyone see the video on CNN this morning? Car load of thugs armed to the teeth pulls into his driveway and they all get out to invade his home. The owner see's this on his survielance cameras, grabs his gun and shot at their car windshield with a 3" grouping. They scattered and left.
Looked to me like after they left, he walked out with a sidearm on his hip. I wonder if he shot that 3" grouping with his sidearm or a rifle?

Another great example of why we need to protect "The Right To Bear Arms".

Edit: It's on CNN Headline News .... note, I'm not a big fan of the Commi News Network but do watch CNN Headline News for Robin Meade :) (She worked in my city for a number of years)

Didn't see it. I'll flip it over there and try to catch it.

If every house was required to keep a gun, I bet home invasions would be almost non existence.

Old cliche' "Gun control = hitting your target"

Long live the 2nd Amendment and all the others it allows us to protect.

Not to be cynical but security cams? Wonder if this guy was involved in some sort of illegal thing and a rival group was gonna rob him:confused:

Good shooting whatever the case?

Or perhaps he lives in an area where home invasions are more common than in other areas. Perhaps he is a victim of a previous home invasion. Maybe he works for a home security company. You don't have to be a criminal to take home security seriously.

Good job,

Maybe beter if there had been work for the coroner but this way he is not as likely to get sued.

This thread Prolly should get moved to Prac Tac.

Dayum...that happened right in Tucson and I didn't even hear about it!!! I need to get out more.

I will say that home invasions in Tucson tend to focus on drug stash houses. I don't know if that was a case of mistaken location, but it has been known to happen.

A few weeks ago, we had two boys (7 and 9 IIRC) killed in a park in Phoenix in the middle of the day. There were no witnesses, but a surveillance camera on a house shooting pics of the driveway showed the two walking by on their way to play. About 30 seconds later, the subject walks by carrying a baseball bat. I know you can figure the rest out. Thank God that camera was there.

Couldn't watch the video at full speed on my laptop. I'll hafta check it on the desktop. Good for the armed citizen, though. Those guys OBVIOUSLY meant business. Too bad he didn't save some other people the trouble.

The best way to see the grouping is on a TV. The frame I'm talking about is the camera aimed at the left front fender of the car. You see three shots one after another all in a very tight group. They basically all hit where the drivers head would be.

Looked like a Mexican hit squad. Drove their own car up and left in the same vehicle? Who ever this dude is I'll bet this wont be the last attempt on his life.

Wow, that is unbelievable. In broad daylight, armed thugs in a Chrysler 300.

You guys have a whole different class of criminal then us wee Cdns.

That's racist man! They're probably El Salvadorian :)

It is odd that this took place in broad daylight with one guy leading with an AR. It was more like an assault. The footage seemed like it was edited and there was a time lapse. The "victim" seemed like he was already outfitted with a sidearm, holster and all.

If I had to guess, the victim was probably a gunshop owner or at home FFL dealer. This is why he would have surveillance cameras and why he would be open-carrying at home. The El Salvadorians have been scoping his place out for a while and decided to hit the house.

I can agree with that. At least on my computer, the homeowner looked to be a 60 year old white guy. When I hear about these I automatically think drug dealers ripping off drug dealers, but this one looks different. For one thing, I think the cops would have mentioned that fact were it the case...

You guys think it was La Mara? Seems like MS13 is the Al Qaeda of the Americas...only they don't have religious fanaticism to use as a scapegoat. And it's more than just Salvadorans. There's a large number of Hondurans and other latinoamericanos involved with La Mara as well.
