I found a Marlowe folder Im interested in and am having it held at a local knife shop. Overall Fit and Finish looks good, grinds, pivot smoothness,etc...

Anyone have any additional info on him and his work?

Maurice,
Cannot say that I have one but they look great for the money and I exchanged a few emails with him the other day and he seems like a prince of a guy!

I found a Donald Marlowe that worked in Dover, PA from 1977-. Prices $125-525. Steel used 440c, D2. I recall a Charles Marlowe also.

HTH:)!!!

Charles Marlowe
Charles makes some great customs and is a very nice fellow, I have one of his custom tacticals great fit and finish !!!!It is the sharpest knife I have ever owned His number 402 375 4928:cool: ;)

a reply from the man himself.
actually, ive gotten pretty much what i was expecting.
ive got one more to pay off before i can take this one home, but like i said,it will be mine :D

I'll make Charles blush a bit. I picked up one of his folders at the Blade Show last year and have carried it since. I AM PICKY WHEN IT COMES TO KNIVES! His has been one of my best!

I just bought a Marlowe knife Saturday at a local gun and knife show. Knife is pretty simple with a 440C(I believe) blade, brown canvas micarta handle slabs on a full tang with brass pin and lined thonghole. No hand rubbed finish on this baby; in fact, it probably has a 120 belt finish at best. But, this knife is VERY well ground and is sharp enough to shave the hair off a gnat's ass! Blade shape is sort of a big belly mini bowie shape. I would put this knife in the super skinner catagory. Kydex sheath. The price was right, and I could not pass it up.
