does anyone know what kinda steel is used in the martha stewart collection kitchen knifes?

I don't know, sounds like a cheap stainless, although some reviewers complained about rusting. I guess it did poorly in consumer reports. I am a little curious - Why do you ask?

(The reason I ask is because on a knife forum, most people are considering higher end knives.)

yes and no would be my answers, yes because I have also heard that they rust leading me to believe they may be high in carbon but who the hell knows and no because I have seen a lot of threads about people asking about all types of knifes from mora's to busse's knifes on this and other forums. I'm not an elitist and information never really hurt any one. I think its sorta stupid to make fun of something even though a shit load of people may own it (I don't) even though you have no information or idea about the product at all.

the reviews are mixed and a lot of people seem to like it and some seem to hate it. so sue me for just want to learn more about something and that's what I use the internet for. It may suprise some people that there is more on the internet then naked pictures of girls/guys.

ECCVETS,
I'm sorry if I piled on to a real question. That was my error - but I made it in jest and was hoping it would be taken that way. If I offended, again, I'm sorry.
