Hello there. I am assisting my instructor who just opened a martial arts school in Massachusetts with a primary focus in Filipino and Indonesian arts. I can't find any martial arts insurance companies that are willing to insure for training in Kali, Arnis etc... (even if we promise to train with padded sticks/knives).

Any suggestions on companies that may insure in the Mass. area would be great.

Thanks in advance for info.

Thats the same style that Matt Damon learnt and used in "the bourne identity" and "the bourne supremacy" great styles wish you were in Aus.

thanks for the info. I actually tried Dean and they did insure for those arts but after doing some research, I found the company that they contract with here in Massachusetts is not licensed to do business here. After emailing Dean about it, they have not replied back. I was hoping Dean had an alternate company here in Mass but have not heard back.

Hey Photo, you actually do have those styles in Australia. One that immediately comes to mind can be found at www.knifefighting.com and check out the locations section. I have worked out with some of these guys and attended a few of their seminars over the years. In fact, my instructor utilizes what they teach. If I can think of any others, I will post it for you. I am certain if you look hard enough you can find some in your country.

Photo, Ray Floro, a long-time filipino stylist, is based in Austrailia -- his web site is http://www.stick-and-knife.com/. I've attended a few seminars that he's taught here in the U.S. and I heartily recommend him, although I'm not sure where he is in relation to Sydney.

Thanks for the links as I was told that type of style had became illegal some years ago. I was doing one style here and it was stopped, the instucter is teaching a softer style now though he still has his private lessons.
thanks to all that replied :D
