Michael Janich will be presenting classes in the official Spyderco Martial Blade Craft (MBC) curriculum in Los Angeles in November 2003. This two-day event will cover Levels 1 and 2 of the four-level MBC curriculum -- the same curriculum taught at the Spyderco headquarters in Colorado and the only training program officially endorsed by Spyderco.
Levels 1 and 2 present comprehensive instruction in standard-grip knife tactics, focusing on practical, effective, and legally defensible techniques that work with concealable folding knives. This course includes instruction in the fundamental reflex training drills of the MBC system, high-speed knife deployment skills, and graphic demonstrations of the cutting power of the knife.
