can someone give me some info on bladesmith martin kruse. where he worked on knives or lived. I know he is deceased. I am curious who he may have worked with or influenced / trained. I recently picked up a large combat bowie knife and there are two names etched on either side of the ricasso, one side Kruse the other side Hale.

I have a Martin Kruse Combat Knife in my collection. I don’t have a whole lot of info for you but I do believe knifemaker David Ellis worked with him. You might try contacting him and ask. There were many articles featuring Martin way back when. What I read made me believe Martin was one of those guys who would willingly share whatever he knew with others.
