Today I decided to go out and play with a few knives. I choose a Martin MR14 XL, Bill Seigle R.A.W Series knife, Rik Palm Camp Witch and a Bark River Adirondack Guide. They all worked out great. Great knives.

Nice knives Caine. How do you like the Rik Palm Camp Witch, and how thick is the blade? Bill Siegle makes some nice stuff.

Thanks, I like the looks of it. It looks like it would work out just fine in the woods .

That's interesting, I'm not used to seeing a choil two inches or so into the blade. What's the purpose of putting it so far forward? Not sure I understand the point of that much unsharpened steel.

It remains a long knife, but you can still choke up on it for some more control in non chopping tasks.

Great photos! At least there are some guys that really USE their blades .... DOWN WITH SAFE QUEENS! Well done Caine! I am flying to South Africa in two hours. In my gear is a Ranger Knives RD 9 that I am going to put through its paces on a 4 day canoeing / wilderness trip. Will report back!
