Anyone use the Martin Tactical knives, especially the American frontier series? I am interested in those since I like the traditional knives, especially the French trade knife and camp knives.

Agreed---easy to deal with and they do very good work. I'm afraid I haven't tried that particular series from them, but if you have any questions they're friendly to talk to so go ahead and give them a call.

As to their classic series knives---they do a lot of Randall-type patterns using materials and tempers (high 50s to low 60s HRC, depending on the steel, instead of mid 50s) that I WISH Randall would use.

I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed.

Thanks everyone, I have heard from others at other sites that they are good people to deal with. They use 1095 in the Frontier series, Rc about 58-60 Ed told me.
