The most advanced blow gun I've ever seen. But then look at the price 15,000 yen, roughly $122 USD. For that much you could get a Terminator brand blowgun with every accessory they make. If the price comes down I might get one.

That's a very attractive blowgun, but quite a steep price too. Anyone have one of these beauties?

Nice. Marushin makes some cool "toys." I would have killed for that blowgun when I was a kid. Hell. I wouldn't mind it now, but like you said $122 is pretty pricey for something like that.

Althought that is one bad a-s blowgun, Its still powered the old fashioned way, At least I think, It may have a CO2 in there somewhere. Either way, for $122, I would pretty much have to have every knife my heart disires before I would pay that. My $12 blowgun pretty much takes care of everything I need in the realm of application. Very nice and interesting though. Thanks

Kumdo,

Personally I like KSC guns better for airsoft stuff, their more user oriented, Western Arms for high end factory pieces.

JClaude42,

I think this was just released or abnout to be released from Marushin, Im trying to locate one right now to see how much it costs. Get this to have something sent priority from Taiwan, tack on another $61 USD and even then it take 2-3 weeks. I could pay $30 shipping and it would take 1-3 months.

TheBadGuy,

I know theres an american company, I think its distributed by Palco, that sells a CO2 attachment that runs off those little, CO2 canisters that you get for .50 cent/each. Yah Im trying to get one of those '$12' blowguns with no luck, I can get an auto Microtech Amphibian shipped to my house in California but I cant get a simple blowgun shipped. Anyone know a place willing to deal?

I went ahead and emailed you, but I went back and read your post, it was pretty sarcastic...damn not the smartest idea to post in the forums after friday night drinking.

I wasn't being sarcastic :( I was offering to help you

my low-tech but dead cheap blowgun is about 3' of 1/2" PVC tubing.

Darts are constructed from coat-hanger sections with fuzzy pipe cleaners wrapped around the end for a seal.

I also made a larger diameter job using 1/4" dowel rod and paper-cone seals, producing impressive velocity! But the paper cones are a pain to get right- too big and they drag, too small and they don't seal.

LOL, That may be going alittle to extreme. I am mean $13-$15 bucks wouldn't kill ya, But if your happy with the results, more power to ya.:p

I delight in my stinginess! Look at this computer-ONLY 1500 bucks- just so I could play "Sturmovik". Hehe.

Back when I was a kid, I read about making "matchstick darts".
You take a wooden matchstick, and, using a pair of pliers, force the eye end of a needle into one end. Cut a slit in the other, and slide two little squares of paper in, then spread them apart into an "X" shape to make fletching. They stick in almost anything...

I took it a step further to make soda-straw type blowun darts. Being a fly-tyer, I wrapped squirrel-hair around the back of the dart using fly-tying thread. Worked great!

The main feature I really like is the way the barrel lines up with your eye so you can actually sight down it. Do any cheaper blowguns have this feature?

I have a 24" left in the Trade forum that even has a little sight on it, Brand new in package. "MOST" cheap blowguns are still pretty straight, How solid/Long they last isn't exact though

The most wicked little blowgun darts I ever made were from the "aglets" of shoelaces (the little plastic tips). Cut the string about 1/4 or 1/3 of an inch from the end, hold the plastic bit & insert a straight pin w/ a pair of pliers. Cut the pin @ a 45 degree angle, grab a soda straw & you are in business. I worked in a shoe store when I was in school & there were always loose shoestrings lying around. You could arm yourself well in a very short while. In the children's dept, we gave away helium balloons & on Saturdays, there were always a good 1/2 dozen balloons stuck to the ceiling where kids had lost them. Big fun getting them down @ the end of the day.
