says HOWDY! She sent me an email this weekend and said she's found work a lot closer to home, and that she misses all of you guys and working for Mike and NGK...I told her yall are still nuts! :D

Send her a big howdy back!!
Ask her to drop in sometime.

Good to hear she found a job closer to home.

Isn't her username here something like "Sugar Bear, Big Bear, Cute Bear" etc
I'm pretty sure it had 'bear' in it somewhere.

It's been my experience that they miss her too at NGK. I can sure tell the difference in not getting notified on preorders already in place. Mary Beth never missed a single one of mine anyway.

It'll take a while to replace her. She was very good at what she did there for all of us that came to rely on her. Joe

Mary Beth always did a great job with my transactions. Even though I will miss her I hope all the best for her on the new job.
Congrats Mary :D.

She was the absolute best. Tell her "hi" from Steve G in Spokane and wish her luck in her new job!

I wasn't sure where to go to say hi to everybody so I just sent Brad a message. I do miss everybody and wish I could still be there but you have to do what you have to do. I did find a job closer to home. It takes me about 30 min. or so compared to 2 1/2 hours. I'm still selling stuff but not knives. It's diabetic supplies. I'm working for a company that is kind of like Liberty. We bill for diabetic supplies for patients and doctors and hospitals. Not sure how I'm going to like it yet. Only been there 2 days and it's been classroom work. I'll keep you all updated. Nice to talk with everybody. I have an idea, tell Mike he needs to open a store up here in Roanoke and I can run it and then work on your orders again lol.

Enjoy your new work.
I do not think I could manage 5 hours commuting time each day  - I'm tired enough from my own 2.5-3 hours wasted travelling back and forth :)

:) nice idea!
do you have any edc knife at your new work?

You did an outstanding job at NGK. I am sure you will excel at any job you choose. You have the work ethic and organizational skills, this job is just something new to learn. Here's wishing you a short learning curve and success!!.

the only one that i have that i carry all the time is a mini grip from bm. thats been the only one that i have found that is comfortable in my hand. i've tried a few kershaws that i like but just haven't bought them yet. maybe one day i will order one and use it. we really don't use knives at this new job not unless you work in the warehouse. most of my work is on the phone when patients call in to order their diabetic meds and supplies.

I know Mike has in fact been snoopin this thread, so yeah, he likely heard you. He must have read my post because his name appears as having checked my information/contacts section.

It's a good thing I didn't tell MaryBeth that Michael had given permission for us to move some of the inventory out to a new store front, and that I'd meet her with the master key ( prybar) at the store around 0200 hrs. :D

Actually, they don't play that Gangster stuff in that part of the country. It would be like the James/younger gang and northfield Minn. The Kershaw mafia goes in, and is never seen again. :(

Besides, New Graham has been too good to me to do that to them. ( not to mention I'd have every knife knut in the country pissed at me!)

Ah well. No one ever said a life of crime would be easy! Joe
