Mary Beth of NGK says my D'Allara drop point will be here tomorrow. Yes!!
Can't wait! I want to operate the Ball lock, to see if it is improved over the Dodo. The blade looks pretty handy too.
How do you like yours?

I just scored a comboedged D'Allara today over at New Graham. Only one in the showcase. :) Fantastic knife. Light years ahead of the original in the small details. Access to the locking ball, for example, is totally enhanced. Liners are skeletonized and thinner. Area directly under the clip (on both sides) has been smoothed so it'll be easier on the pocket. Smooth action and rock solid lockup. This knife is a screaming bargain at a shake under sixty bucks.

Also got to handle the new Wegner collab, the ocelot. What a sweet knife!

I don't have a regular D'Allara, but do have a couple of the WTC knives and find them next to impossible to close without resorting to rubber gloves. On the other hand, I can close the new drop point D'Allaras one handed. So I;d say there has been a major improvement in accessibility. Would agree with Harry's assessment. Would just add that, while thinner than the WTC, the handle still feels a tad large in my hand.

I am interested in getting one also. I like the look plus I don't have any examples of the Spyderco Ball-bearing lock.
