Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. There is a knife show in Boonsboro MD at the Washington Co. Agricultural Ed. Center on March 9/10 which is right next to Hagerstown MD. It's 9 miles off I-70 and I-40 about 2 miles from Antietam Battlefield. It's being organized by the Mason-Dixon Knife Club. For more ifo contact Mathew Halterman, Show Chairman at (540)-436-9425. That's all the info I have off of the flyer. Take care.

Since it's the end of this week I'll bump it back up for anyone who might have missed it the first time. You can reach it off I-81 also. Just follow the signs to Antietam Battlefield.

Big show, small show? Any "names" there? Yeah, I know, contact Matthew. But, I thought you might know.

I would say it's probably still a smaller knife show but way more knives then you'd see at a big gun show. I was never at this show since it's moved to Bonosboro. I went to it when it was held in PA a couple times years ago. Then it had around a couple hundred tables. No famous makers at the time (at least none I recognized which isn't saying much) but definately some good knifemakers attended. Had a good bit of customs, production pieces and knife making supplies for sale. It would definately be a day trip from St. Mary's county. I used to live in Solomons Island and Route 4 was/is a long boring strip of highway. I really don't know what to expect but it's only about a 45 minute drive for me. I'll probably hit the show, check out the battlefield and hit the German rest. in Hagerstown on the way home for some pork and lager

Hope I helped.

John R. Johnson - (JRJ Knives) was there last few years. He is maker of the REV, a fighting type knife, pictured in BLADE a couple of months ago. Don't know if he plans on being there this year. His customs are very reasonably priced, and may be seen on either, BladeArt or KnifeArt sites.

This is small show, featuring more traditional knives, with a few tacticals.

Very friendly group of people, both sponsoring, and showing. You will be sure to see some beautiful displays & collections.

John

Thanks V-1, that is a big help. I think I knew, but had forgotten, that you used to live over in Solomons.

Sounds like a good show. Especially with the emphasis more on traditional than tactical. To be honest, when I go to a show, I spend WAY more time at the traditional tables than the tactical tables.

I would like to head up, and may make it, Lord (and my wife) willing.
