I just wanted to bring two knife shows in Maryland to everyone's attention. I'm sure most of the MD/PA/VA/DE/NJ natives out there have heard of the Chesapeake Knife Show in Timonium. Best knife show I've been to, but I've only been to a few of them. Still, it is a treat to see old friends, make new ones and get some fine knives. Custom, tactical and a little bit of old timey, with some good maker and manufacturer representation. Spartan Knives, Bob Dozier, Bill Harsey, Ryan Daniels from Queen and a few others. Lots of dealers with some good prices. I always do a lot of trading there. The other one is a show at the William F Moran museum about a week later. I have driven past this shop many times, but have never been inside. They will be participating in the Frederick County Museums by Candlelight tour, open during the day, and will have forging demonstrations. Jay Hendrickson is part of the Museums board, so I expect to see plenty of knife makers forging there.
Here's the information.
The local Baltimore city paper usually has a coupon for admittance to the Chesapeake show, which knocks a few dollars off the admission price.
