Anybody got any information on this axe? Is it any good?

Also, I've got a Kershaw Camp Axe. I seem to be unable to get it quite sharp enough. I'm not a master at sharpening, but I can't seem to get it quite there. I own a Lansky Sharpening Puck, a Schrade Block and a DC3 from Fallkniven. My knife gets plenty sharp from just general maintenance with the DC3, but nothing seems to do the trick for the hatchet. I also think that the blade for the hatchet might be a bit too broad; I was under the impression that an axe needed a much finer edge than a knife in general.

I know nothing about Maserin axes. Not sure what you are using that Kershaw for, but if you are trying to chop or split wood it just is not the tool for the job. It's wrong in about every way. I guess you will never have to replace the handle though.
Please don't take my response wrong. I am trying to help you. If you are trying to use that Kershaw for traditional uses you would be better off to find you an older hatchet. It will chop, split and probably take and hold an edge better than the Kershaw. They are inexpensive and plentiful. Yard sales, thrift stores, flea markets, antique stores or on line auction. They look like this.

I did try getting through a tree (Already been felled for at least a few weeks) and I was successful after about an hour of total effort. I know it's not for chopping wood but rather for processing smaller woods, but it still doesn't seem to be sharp enough for that. I've learned that a knife is sharp enough for work if you can cut your nails with it. My axe barely gets into my nails.
