Good morning knife nuts. The only knife show left in Maryland will be held the end of April at the Best Western Grand Venice Hotel in Hagerstown Maryland. I believe the show opens at noon on Friday and opens at 9 or 10 AM on Saturday. I plan on being there Saturday, representing Bladeforums and my Facebook groups Slipjoint Addict, Bushcraft Maryland and Cult of the Peanut, our local members plan on being there. Representatives and admins of Facebook groups Slipjoint Army and Slipjoint Paradigm will also be there. We plan on heading down to Black Hog BBQ in Frederick MD afterwards for some good food and drink. This show is the last one in Maryland, as the Chesapeake knife show is no longer around. This show is small but still a lot of fun, mainly slipjoints and older knives, but I've seen some new stuff there. GEC, Case, Courtney Daniels from Queen is set up with some nice knives, along with the Queen and Buck collector clubs. Local vendors are also there, I told a vendor I do a lot of trading with about the show, he didn't even know about it, and quickly signed up for a table. Hagerstown is a neat small city, and the countryside is absolutely beautiful. End of April is usually cool but very nice, and a ride through the mountains is always a good time. Washington Monument SP is right between Hagerstown and Frederick, and has a view of some beautiful vistas. Living in Maryland, I am blessed to have the mountains an hour north and west, and the Eastern shore a couple hours east and south.
Come by, get a free issue of Knife World and a chance to enter a contest for knives, hats, gear etc with your admission. I won my first time going to the show. My first show was the first time I met LT Wright, when the show was in Frederick at the fairgrounds. Anyway, come on out and have a good time.
