I will most likely be at home recuperating from bariatric surgery when this show goes off.

Taken from Queen's site:

April 28, - April 29, 2017 ~ Mason-Dixon Knife Club Hagerstown, MD

This show is at the Best Western in Hagerstown. Ken, Ryan and Courtney Daniels are usually there, including the Queen and Buck collectors clubs. Plenty of old knives, and the Mason Dixon club put on a good show. Heck, it's the only show in the region, except for the Harrisonburg VA show earlier in the month.

I wish I was back there to take it it. Heck, of that matter, I wish I was back there so we could hit the Lisbon Grill one more time before you're surgery for some BBQ!

Good luck, Dan!

You referring to "town grille" at the gas station in Lisbon? I live 1 mile from this hidden treasure.

Sounds tempting. I have planned on going other years but it has always slipped my mind. Maybe this will be my lucky year.

There is a similar show (I would guess) being held in Dalton GA on Friday, March 17 and Saturday March 18 at the convention center.

I know. When Mr. Frederickson sold the Citgo, "Towne Grill" was slated to move or close. The new owners (Carroll Fuels), kept the guy that runs the restaurant side "on board". We r lucky.

Anyhow, pm me and let's see if we can hook up at the show. I've never been. I use to go to the Chesapeake show in timonium, until that one ceased.

I will, I literally have no idea when my surgery will be, hopefully a couple weeks before the show at the latest.

Man, I was talking to a sales associate at REI about orchards etc, he brought up Baughers. I was just thinking that I would stop at Baughers on the way over from Hazard county to Hagerstown.

Carl, bbq and knives just go together, right?

I really need to make it back out there, and jump on those Remington boys knives. Look just like the 15s, spear point with long pull and swedge. Oh man, I'm trying to be good, just had some chicken broth with a few pieces of chicken and noodles in it at the work cafeteria, then I see BBQ talk. I can't even bring knives into work to chicken eye and coon finger!

I live a few miles from Baughers.

Are there strictly traditional style knives at this show? Or anything more modern?
This is a little more than a week after my 40th birthday and I might make the trip (and buy some stuff) if it seems worthwhile...

Primarily traditional stuff, but some dealers have new modern. Anything from 1900s to present, primarily. Some of the old timey dealers might have a older pieces.
