How much mass does a pocket meteor have?
I'm curious to how hard I would have to
swing to do some damage because titanium is
much lighter than steel. Thanks for reading.

The Pocket Meteor is a lot heavier than it looks! I don't think the weight difference between steel and titanium is that much anyway...maybe one or two ounces?

Anyway, it has more mass than your average blackjack/sap, but since it's lighter than steel, it's also a lot faster than swinging a solid piece of steel, which of course means it's easier to control. You can go from hitting with the PM in your hand to swinging it in less than a second! Also, it's very easy to conceal, and very fast to deploy.

MrG,

Titanium is 40% lighter than steel so in an equivalent amount of volume, it only a little more than half the weight of steel. Saps I have handled are from 4 oz to 14 oz. I think you mistake mass with density. I know titanium is pretty hard (but still softer in general than steel). Granted if it is lighter than steel, it can move faster with less force...and can change direction with less effort but if it is 2 oz then it would be too light (I think I need 4 oz) to inflict serious damage, but I know it would hurt. Thank you, Mrg for responding to my post.

Paranoid? That was a fine song. hahahahaha

The Pocket Meteor is heavy enough to inflcit some massive damage...

Although it is lighter than a similar sized steel weapon, because it is faster, it will generate more force. There is something to be said for speed and at roughly 1/3 the weight of steel, that is a substantial loss in weight and gain in speed.

Because it is faster, I think it will actually hit harder then a similar sized piece of steel...

Because it is faster in changing directions, makes it a more fluid weapon as well.

You do not have to have a hunk of steel, brass or even lead in order to do damage. I have carried Saps and I know a good deal about them, quite frankly...a Sap or 'Jack is a fine weapon in CQC...but does not offer the versatility of the Titanium Impact Tools JSP is making in that these are designed to be used within the parameters of other JSP Devices and Guises...

Thank you Mr. Rearic,

Yes, the equation is (F)orce = (M)ass times
(A)cceleration.
