So MD didn't have the bronze Crux I wanted, I threw a low bid out on a used older Crux (didn't think I'd win) & after winning the bid, MD listed the bronze Crux I wanted. I bought that one too. So it was time to sell one or modify it. Get busy living or get busy dying. Yeah. Let us begin.

1) Anodized the handle. 9v batteries did an adequate job. 81v then 54v. Blue with yellow edges. These will get tumbled so a perfect finish wasn't what I was aiming for.

2) Etched the blade cuz the MD name irked me. Whink rust remover is a bad mamma jamma. Be careful with this stuff. It etched S35VN steel pretty good after two hours.

3) The finger choil wasn't large enough for me so rotary tooled it around .125" larger towards the blade edge, then tapered it to the original radius.

4) The lock bar finger groove was a bit too sharp for me, so I sanded it down around a .0625" radius.

4) Re-etch the blade for one hour.

5) Tumble handles for 30 minutes.

6) Tumble blade (30 minutes in HF tumbler w/ HF ceramic & resin media). Make sure you put two coats of fingernail polish. The rust remover can eat through a single layer over the two hours.
