Been waiting for this one for a little while. Blade is 7" of forged 1084 with nickel silver "S" guard, filed collar and buttcap. Stag is another of those $50 carvers from last year's Blade show. Obviously, the balance is superb. The fit and finish is typical Roger Massey; that is to say "where's the flaw?" One happy camper is Danbo.
 
This is actually a better picture of the knife in general, but the other pic showed the balance better.
 
Ultra Clean!!

I enjoy seeing Rogers work at Blade. Everything he does has a certain clean, FINISHED look to it!!

I like everything about this knife. From the curve of the stag to the very original guard to the wonderful blade profile. One of the nicest bowies I have seen.
 
Dan - for the life of me, I cannot figure out exactly why you are so giddy?? :D VERY nice looking bowie there my friend! Obviously, the wait was well worth it.
 
Flowers, what flowers? :) All I see is bowie.

On one hand, I am kinda scared to scratch the knife up. But, on the other hand, it literally molds into my hand and begs to be used.
 
I contacted Roger today about ordering a knife. He got back to me right away. A two year wait, huh? Oh well, it looks like it will be worth it.
 
Awesome blade! I agree with Keith, one of the nicest I have ever seen. While I am a firm believer in using most of my knives, I just don't think I could bring myself to use that one :(

Spectacular!

That one's a showstopper for sure. I love the way the S-guard compliments the slight curve of the handle - it's perfect!

Wow! Im usually not to keen on the stag handle look, but that knife makes me think twice! I love the guard on it, elegant look to it. You've got a keeper there danbo. :)
