massive all steel bowie

This is my chopping bowie. The blade is an outer wheel band from an old steem tractor. Same with the guard. The handle is a piece of water pipe from the same tractor. I welded everything together, including a closed end to the handle, before heat treating.The tractor was way, way beyond restoring.
The blade is 13.3/4" X 1.1/2" X 1/4 thick. Overall is 18.5/8" .
It's too big for any practical purpose, besides splitting kindling.

I like the lines. The steel handle wouldn't work too well in a canadian winter, but other than that I really like the design.
