Those knives are extremely rare. If I remember correctly, from a past magazine article I think, only three were known to be made. I believe Rhett has one, RMK has one, and the other got kicked around for a few years with different buyers...

Not saying the one on ebay is, or isn't legit as I don't have a dog in the fight - but counterfeits have shown up over the years as well. I collect rare and oddball Randall knives myself, but some are just too rare for me even think twice about - to me, this is one of those knives.

Also, I'd like to see the authentication letter from my friend Perry, and the sheath too. I find the lack of the original sheath very suspect. As always, YMMV...

If it's the real deal, it's worth real money.
 
A couple of observations:

Linking to "live" auctions is a violation of the rules here. This subforum is kind of a backwater, so you're unlikely to get in trouble for it unless someone complains, but it's still a "no-no."

Also, I see the OP is the current top bidder. No way I'm gonna let it go for $550. I really hate to start a bidding war, but if nobody else takes the bait, I probably will.
 
Doh! The OP is not the top bidder, the OP is the seller, silly man - and kissing up to Beth Ann doesn't count, she probably just took pity on you for having such an ugly avatar...I'm just sayin' ;)
 
Oh well. Must have been drunk at the time. I can't imagine how that could have happened.
