Massive mountainman bowie

This is a bowie i've been working on. It has a 9 1/4" A2 blade, 3/16" thick by 1 3/4" wide. Full brass guard, elk handle with a brass pommel cap.

For a Mountain Men to own a big bowie knife was part of their life and a main stay to there survival. If they didn't own one they had a desire to own one from what I have read of those times.

What's the handle length and overall plz?

All your knives look like they good go thru hell and back again. That's is one big stout lookin knife :thumbup:

Thanks guys. Spearz, the overall length is 15". The handle length is 5 3/4". I much prefer a full tang for really hard use but the way I did the hidden tang on this one it should fair pretty well.
