Make sure and disengage the 'hillary hole' if you plan on doing any defensive work with it... Lots of cases of it locking down inadvertently.

It could make for a bad day otherwise.

Moon clips with a rimmed cartridge? I always thought they were just for using rimless in a revolver (.45 ACP, 9MM, et cetera).

Are they simply for speed loading, or are they required with the 8 round cylinder?

Man, I want one of those. I carry a .357 S&W 340 M&P nearly every day, but it's so light that it's a beast to shoot .357s in it. I've been debating between getting a M&P R8 or a 1911, for a new house gun. I like the R8, but I fell like I'm missing out, since I don't have a .45. I'll probably get both eventually.
