My wife has been looking at a few inexpensive valentine's day gifts for me and knowing I like knives and that sort of stuff, she asked me if I'd like one of these:

It would be an EDC/leave-it-in-the-jeep knife. Anyone ever buy a master cutlery knife? Personally I've never heard of them. If it is just going to be a cheap POS, I'd put the money towards something else...

I'd look elsewhere - There are a bevy of fantastic folders out ther for less than $30 that can aptly provide a short lifetime of service . . . Master Cutlery anything is probably not one of them if the materials matter to you.

If it is just going to be a cheap POS, I'd put the money towards something else...

while that is a bit exepensive for a pos my gf's dad has one just like that and the HT was actually pretty good, holds an edge almost like a buck 420hc

Master Cutlery is horrible, even for a cheap knife. The quality is bad, and the liner locks feel like they'll give out any second. You could do much better at that price. Look at Kershaw, Spyderco, Byrd, the Ka-Bar Dozier, and the Ontario RAT 1.

ah....that's kinda what I was guessing. I guess I'll hold out for a Kershaw Responder still then....

sanrenmu knives are half the price and waaayyy better than any of those mster cutlery, taylor brands, mtech whatever
