Some of you may have already seen this picture when it went up in the Gunhammer section of Darrel's website after the NYCKS, but it's amazing enough that I figured it deserved its own thread. The knife pictured is, of course, the custom Gunhammer with Chad Nichols stainless damascus with Stellite 6K core, machined Nichols MokuTi scales, and lightning strike carbon fiber inlay that Darrel had posted some pics of in the WIP thread. As great as it looks in Darrel's pictures, Coop's photos really take it to another level entirely (particularly the colors on the scales ).

I said in the WIP thread that IMHO this knife, when finished, would take the title of "Greatest Gunhammer Ever", and I think these pictures make a very good case for that. Congrats to Darrel for the work and skill that went into making this incredible knife, Chad for the work and skill that went into creating the materials, and Coop for work and skill needed to capture the knife's beauty and craftsmanship in a photo that everyone can enjoy.

Coop always manages to capture the essence of all the knives he photographs and perfectly so. That blade is simply stunning. I love the grain.

Saw this first on facebook. Never get tired of seeing it. It might be the most beautiful knife I have ever seen, and I've been around.
