I meet Jim in 1980 the year he started making knives. I was driving out off Mt. View Arkansas and saw his sign, so I stoped and went back to see what he had for sale. I purchased small stock removal drop point with his name stamped on it. The next knife up in the case is one of jim's early damascus, circa 1982. My next purchases was a bowie with an elephant ivory handle, circa late 1990's. And my currant purchase is his Damascus Dancer Bowie (he is working on it now) which is a monster of a knife over-all 15" blade width 3". the only differance is my handle will be Elephant ivory.

Thanks for this thread, very timely for me. I've had a spot on Jim's list for awhile
and finally decided what I want. Just received an e-mail from him that the area had been hit hard by a tornado and that he just got power back.

Keep us posted on your latest acquisition and I'll update when I get my knife.
