I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the San Mai Master Tantos have seen any changes since the GSM acquisition, either in cosmetics or quality. I noticed some recently manufactured older models are now featuring the new logo. I didn't know if the tantos were getting this same treatment or not. I don't imagine quality would take a hit considering they're likely being made in the same factory by the same people but there's really no way I'd know.

It will be the same exact knife, made to the same exact specifications, made in the same factory, with the same materials. I have duplicate knives from pre GSM and with the new GSM owned logo, and it's the identical knife.

Now, the question is, how long is it going to continue that way with GSM behind the reigns? That's the million dollar question.

Hopefully the logo stays the only difference. In a way though I'd welcome the return of the longer ricasso on the Master Tantos. Quality staying the same, I think it looks better.

Are there pics of the Taiwan manufactured knives with the pre and post GSM logos?
I recently bought another Master Tanto new and it has the old logo still, so I don't know if it's an older stock pre-GSM or they didn't change the logo on this particular knife. The only significant thing differentiating it that I can find isn't even on the knife itself, but on the back of the box the social media logos omit Pinterest, Google+, and Tumblr. I wish there was a copyright date or something to tell me for sure but I don't know.

I bought one recently and the logo doesn't have the blade like the Recon Tantos I bought last summer do.
