i was thinking of picking up a cold steel master tanto, the 6 inch blade model. the only diffrence between this and the original tanto is that the master tanto is made with san mai steel.

so what are your impressions of the master tanto, id like to know before i spend 150 on one.

if you have any good sites to order from i would apreciate it!

thanks for the help

Is it 150 street? That's quite a bit to pay for a Cold Steel fixed blade, in my humble opinion. You're not too far off from a chris reeves fb.

That's the aviator, in A2 (!) for 230.

The Shadow III for 210 also in A2.

When I'm looking at ordering a knife, I'll do a quick ebay search (including the stores and buy it now).

Add %10 to %15 to the median price on the bay. That extra I think should cover added business expenses for running a business.

That is the price I'm lookin' for. I will go higher, but I know I'm paying more than needed.

As for the knife, I'd want one of the made in Japan ones.

Some will not like tanto tips; so be it.

What is your intended use, btw?

intended use is whatever i may need it for in the marines. im not some gong ho rambo nut thinking of takeing on hordes with my knife, its just gotten some good reviews from the marines i know and aperently does well in a sandy enviroment.
:D
thanks for the tips
