Anyone got anything good or bad to say about these knives? Any over-hyped adverts, substandard quality/QC?

I love my Mark II:

Amaizing design: lock, shape, look everything just great!

Thanks, Vassili.

Very well made knives. Always think of getting the Keating designed knife as I attended his Riddle of Steel.

The Ayoob fixed blade is a pretty nice little sticker.

My friend has a ladyhawk. It is supurb. While the edge was not the greatest from the factory, the knife is excelent. The liner is easy to use and thick, and it doesnt feel like it has any chance of slipping or tourqing. It is also very ergonomic. While a bit Mall-Ninja ish, the ladyhawk (and I would assume all of their knives) are excelent qualtiy. So if you like the design go for it.

i have had a MOD or 2, they are ok just never really caught my fancy, havent seen one in a yr or 2 but all the ones i have seen the F&F was real good. just not crazy about the designs, did like the razorback though, for FB it was my edc until i got a bud nealy pesh kebz.

I have the large CQD and love it ,my edc now, I find I use the seat belt cutter the most , (not on seat belts) Very tight knife, great fit and finish, very sharp, window breaker, belt cutter.feels great in any way you hold her.I got her at a great price used from the sand box and dont cry every time I scratch it like my Sebe or Wieland. :D

Are we talking about the current production run or the old ones?
IMO, the liner locks were the best made. VERY sturdy. There's only one liner lock that being produced now IIRC, and it's based on the Trident, which is one of my favorite all time folders (the trident that is), and for me, is the most reliable liner lock I've ever seen.

I have a Tempest I got a few years ago and that is one great knife! Great fit and finish like others have said. The lock fits perfectly and is strong. The most impressive thing is the black blade coating. It still doesn't show any wear after all this time. The only downside for me is that the blade is a tad too thick for easy cutting.

With Masters of Defense on the blade, where I go that relegates the knife as a weapon and hence instantly illegal. Knives up to 4" are OK as long as they are not weapons, but tools. The court interpretation of weapon includes self-defense. I also like the little ladyhawk, but couldn't quite cough up the money.

I don't own one, but I hae never heard anybody having anything but positive comments on them.

Graciela Casillas was a friend of mine. She and her husband Ernie Boggs were my martial arts instructors. I was around when she was asked to design the lady Hawk. In fact, I got the end of my thumb lopped off with a first design knife of hers. If used for intended purposes, it is an outstanding knife! I have one that is of the first group out. My daughter carries it.
