I just got this custom order finished. They are the 5.5 tactical/fighter and the S-tac EDC/personal defense knife. The 5.5 was heavily modified so that the ergonomics would fit the customers extremely large hands. The thumb ramp was moved forward and the handle thickened to accommodate his grip. The blades are ATS34, acid etched and stonewashed and left with a polished finish all along the tang and back. The scales are bronze Lightning Strike carbon fiber with bronze and black G-10 spacers. I machined the bronze pins and tubes on the lathe and put carbon fiber rod inside of them. The texturing on the sheath was made from custom tooling. They are hand stitched and are 10oz thickness. The 5.5 sheath is set up for vertical carry, while the S-tac sheath is a pocket style with integral clip. These were a lot of fun to build. Thanks for looking, Jeff

You already know what I think of this amazing set ;)

Soon to take possession of these truly amazing pieces that Jeff Baker has created for me I would like to pass on to other members here my experience of having the pleasure to working with Jeff on 6 different knife builds now, he is truly an awesome guy to work with and a real asset to the knife building community, also as you can see his leather work is just stunning & a top notch woodworker as well, I don't think the words "that can't be done" are in Jeff's vocabulary, his creativity is very impressive, I will pick a knife design then adjust it to fit my oversized mutant hand, give him an idea of the materials I would like used in the build and from there I just let him run with it giving very minimal input through out the build, the knives & sheaths just turn out stunning in my opinion he is truly a talented guy !!!! , if you haven't looked at Jeff's work do yourself a favor and take a little time out of your day and search this forum for some of his builds also his own website & facebook for a peek at some beautiful creations by this gentlemen I think you will be glad you did.

Thanks again Jeff for your hard work and attention to detail on this pair, really looking forward to receiving the set !!

Chris

Chris,
Thank you for the kind words and the opportunity to build these knives. It is always more enjoyable to construct a blade when the customer gives a conceptual vision as to what they are looking for, and then gives license to allow it to happen through the makers eyes. As always, it was a pleasure working with you. Jeff
