Here is a matching set of kitchen knives I just finished today.
The Big one is over 16" oal, w/ a 10" blade! The small paring knife has a 4.5" blade and is 8.5" oal. Both are .095 15n20 with natural micarta scales and brass pins.

Very nice - I love that paring blade shape. I just made a couple with a similar blade shape, but with the handle more closer to the sharp edge of the blade - I like how you lift the handle by offsetting and angling and was planning something similar for the next one.

How does it feel to use? I can't tell from the pictures - is it full tang? If so, did you lighten it?

Yes it is full tang, the stock is only .095 thick so I didn't see a need to lighten it.

I've never lightened any of the 3(!) kitchen knives I've made, but note that some people do so for balance reasons (not just weight itself).
