I received a new scale for my Southard today and had to show it off.

Maybe some of you remember the black palm scale for my Domino I picked up from spketch here on the forum. I was so thrilled with it I asked if he could make the same for the Southard. Just beautiful work! Fits perfectly and really sets the Southard off in a way the stock brown scale didn't.

It was a little late by the time I installed the scale so I lost the sunlight but if there's enough enthusiasm for the thread I'll get out the next time the sun shines and get some real beauty shots.

**As promised, I edited in a few outdoor shots from my morning mountain bike ride.**

Nice flippers! Steve is a great guy to deal with, and he does some outstanding work with wood.

Thanks guys, although Steve deserves the credit.

I just ordered them and managed to get them screwed on.

I may have another fun project as well. ;)

These are some of the nicest looking scales I've ever seen. The grain pattern in that wood is dead sexy. Very nice work, color me jealous.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm really enjoying this pair!

I edited in a few outdoor photos in the first post. A pro photographer I am not.

Nice work, Steve! Palm can be challenging to work with on the best of days - you really hit the ball over the fence with this pair!

Yes he did!
Glad you replied, I'm cutting some scales for 2 Mules today and may bounce a question or two off you if you don't mind.
