Some of you may remember Don's rendition of my hunter design in damascus and mammoth awhile back. I thought about having a matching slipjoint hunter done at the time, but decided not to--always regretted it. So when I saw this one from Darcuss (Jared) on the Exchange, I couldn't resist. Not all such "matching" exercises have panned out in my experience over the years, but have to say I'm very happy with this one.

Obviously the damascus patterns aren't the same, but having four different billets represented in the blades and bolster/guards of the two knives develops its own interest, I think.

Thanks again, Jared and Don!

Those are very beautiful Hansons, I love 'em both. Congrats on the close cousins coming together!

Very cool bringing these two together. Great knives by great maker brought together by a great collector. That's what it's all about.

Well said, totally agree!!

Nice job on pairing those up, Will.

Your hunter design project still impresses the hell out of me.

Jaxx, Mark and Joe--

Thanks for your kind words--high praise coming from you three astute collectors.

Will, nice of you to post this. I wasn't aware the slipjoint was on the market, but excellent to see you got it!

Thanks!
