Outside of being stabilized wood, no idea on the actual wood used for the scales. What is its official Busse designation and its material composition? Old age and a general disinterest in the blade over the years has clouded my memory. I deleted the original Ganzaa email from Busse years ago and all the older Ganzaa threads appear to have been purged. Busse Collector does not list this particular LM on the site. Anyone remember which Ganzaa this one is from?

That looks like Blue stabilized Buckeye burl.

Is it an AD or a MrS?

It does appear to be buckeye burl. Stabalized and impregnated with a resin to replace the moisture that would originally have been in the wood. The dye is added right to the resin so the color filters into any void that would have had moisture in it.

0.17 LMS.
Beautiful handle!!
FYI, "LMS" stands for Lean Mean Street...the original version. You have a "Tweener" Meaner Street, AKA Tweener Meaner, maybe also TrMrSt. No thumb up emoticon to drop on the new forum format, but this is where I'd use it. :) (EDIT:  :D)
LrMrSt's are .15", Tweeners-.17"-.18" nekkid, MrSt's @ .22".

Just tryin' to keep the info & acronyms straight for all :)

And nicely done, too. The .170 stock had me scratching my head. I don't know how you can keep all that in your head but have not found the thumbsup emoji though  ;):D

Ah-HAH!:thumbsup::thumbsup: YAY! lol ...Didn't see them at the software launch, were they added recently? :)

Adam, message sent.

Mind offering a shot of the full knife?

Lol, cheers bud! Yes, pretty recently. They come through good on the flat awesome background, but you can hardly see them if you're using the dark background.
