Prompt, on a modern sheath (102, 105) and 110 sheath the natural skin or pressed (cardboard) is used?

Black color.

It's thin, but real. Decent sheaths with good snaps. And replacements are readily available. Not the case with most knife companies.

Front and back are leather. The spacer in between seems to be made from something different.

I think he's talking about the texture. If you are, it's just a difference in the tanning process. obamma stopped a lot of chemicals from being used and processed in this country. Here in communist CA, you would be surprised at what we can't get any more. Nothing that is classified as a solvent and for some reason Tru-Oil, I think it's because it's for guns. Oil dyes for leather are no longer available to be shipped here and so on....

Gee, I wonder how body shops function in CA?... Lots of paints and solvents....

we talkin' Mexican made sheaths, or are the newest being made in america again for these models?

does buck have one supplier making them or multiples? thanks.

Everything is imitation as far as solvents, says so on the can, paints are still available. House paint doesn't last here, it fades really bad after a couple of years. I can't buy windshield washer, in my area Southern CA, that has anti-freeze in it. If my address was was in another town 20 miles, smogging my vehicles would be cheaper and easier too pass than here. Google CA laws, you won't believe what you are reading... Go on ebay and look at Tru-Oil and several of them can't ship to CA...

Didn't mean to hijack the thread but a couple last comments.
The stupidest CA law is the prop 65 warning, seems I read they have to put it on coffee drinks now.
I recall on one of Jay Leno's Garage episodes that they were restricted on the type of auto paint for one of his restorations.

Here is a little Buck "Auto Body" hammer to bang the thread back on track.

All my factory Buck sheaths are leather ... excluding the ones that are Kydex or Nylon, of course.
