I had stumbled across a few posts about the Matt Bailey Mod 2 Flipper knife and each time I saw one posted for sale I was late on my arrival to snag one. Well, that ended today I'm happy to say.
I was able to purchase one of Matt's Mod 2 Flippers and I can report that this is a great knife.

I discovered that Matt only lives a few miles from me so I was able to pick the knife up from him directly as he met me nearby. Matt is a great guy and very personable. He took the time to explain all aspects of the knife with me including his recommended maintenance.

The knife itself is put together and designed very well. Every aspect of the knife is neat and clean with no flaws that I can spot. I have gone over this knife extensively. Obviously, Matt must have OCD the same as I do.
The action is butter smooth, lock up is great, and it carries well. I should also mention that Matt makes these very sharp. This knife ranks right up there with my sharpest Spyderco.

The knife is CPM154 steel and just works well and feels durable. It's a piece of functional artwork. If you have been thinking about grabbing one of these from Matt I would strongly suggest you do not hesitate. I can see the demand on these knives shooting up once people start to get wind of them. This knife currently goes for $300 and I feel it's a steal at that price for this custom knife.
