So the story is that I bought one of these are my first bladeshow... It was very cool, but I don't think I really knew what I had, and a knife maker friend at the time, offered to make me a knife in exchange for the Diskin in trade. I traded it, he made me a knife, the rest is history...

But I never really forgot the Diskin, something about the scale release auto, and silky smooth manual action gripped me, and I couldn't escape.... So I tracked another, better one down...

Specs:
Blade: 3.5"
OAL: 8"
Weight: 4.2oz
Steel: Elmax I believe, it's not marked, but I am pretty sure that's what's generally used in these.

This is the hand-compound-ground Fire with CF scales and a LSCF backspacer... From what I've read it's a special edition, and one of the last Fire's that Diskin made.

That blade is really what makes it shine, and also what officially inducted me into the NSQ club. My wife and I recently moved, and I needed something to break boxes down, this was nearby, so I used it... Blade has done some work now....... Honest wear is cool wear right?

The knife really is pretty impressive. Great ergos, amazing auto action, and when used manual it's one of my smoothest knives. The blue hardware gives it just enough pop... I'm a fan to say the least.

I mean c'mon...

Anyway, hope you all like it!!

JParnee asked me to post picture of how I am carrying this bad boy. This is a brown Shark Skin pocket sheath from Paul Long, and I removed the clip on the Diskin. :-)

Beautiful knife, Aaron! 👍

Thanks a lot Aaron, this is the straw that has broken the camel's back. Gotta have one now!

Well, I have to get one of these... I have been seeing them, and reading nothing but good reviews for over a year now, plus they have always had Joe's "seal of approval"...

When Kevin posted his, it made me see what was really possible with special materials... Kevin, yours is the nicest example of this model I have ever seen... Best Regards, Rich Slaughter
