Here's a shot I just took of my forged Matt Lamey knife with walnut scales. It has a nice hamon and a nice natural patina, and it takes an amazing edge. I just like the way it looks and thought some of you might also.

dang, that is nice. That knife says to me "let's go on a week-long hike in the mountains". It looks like a perfect camp knife. What steel is it?

Thanks for the nice comments friends. :)

I think the steel is clay hardened 1080; 10" OAL, 1/8" thick, 1 & 3/8" wide, scalpal sharp.

I was fortunate enough to acquire this one from my buddy Dawkind. He's pretty sharp himself.

That looks to be a real serious cutter. Love it! Matt's blades are always deep into the "scary sharp" zone.
